Up for sale is this very fine and quite scarce, early 19 Century Chinese composite bow. It is 41 inches long, 22 inches wide, made of combination of wood, horn and sinew. The inner side (when charged) is beautiful black horn. The outer side is covered with elaborately braided and colored leather strips in red black and gold. The central sector is covered with cork and green ray skin. The tips are covered with ray skin as well. Very good plus condition. One of the tips has a small repair. Very fine and rare item.
