Up for sale is this very fine “PIHA KAHETTA”, the traditional knife of the Sinhalese from Sri-Lanka (Ceylon). Like the old classical examples it has a single edged short down curving heavy fullered blade, 6 1/2 inches long. The grips are beautifully carved from ivory with good age patina, set with chiseled and chased brass pommel cover. Total length is 10 inches. Very good plus condition.
