The Shi people residing in east Zaire, near the Tanzania border. Carries this typical unique sword with straight, double edge blade, with pronounced central rib. This one is an unusual and very good exemplar. 19 inches slender blade, hardwood handle and scabbard bound with copper wires. Total length 22 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Scabbard seam slightly open. A very scarce sword.
