Up for sale is this fine fighting /sacrificial Kora sword from Nepal, early to mid 19 C. The heavy down-curving blade is 16 ½ inches long, widening to 4 ½ inches at the tip. The blade is finely fullered along the spine and marked with the talisman near the tip. The handle is all steel, cylindrical grip with disc pommel and cross guard, both finely pierced. Total length 22 inches. Very good condition. Very fine Kora. This Kora comes from the collection of John Powell, SF, a world known collection of Nepalese and related weapons.
