A good Arab Jambiya dagger, mid 20 C., from Oman. It has 7 inches curved and dual edge blade with a pronounced central rib. The hilt is horn covered silver front panel and mounted with chased silver collar and gilded silver strips. The scabbard is “L” shaped covered with leather elaborately embroidered with silver and gold colored strips and wires, and mounted with chase silver locket en suite with the hilt mounts. The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of silver rings and twisted silver wire. Total length is 12 inches.
