Superb Knife from the island of Crete - 5969


This is a very good and typical example of the knife from the island of Crete in the Mediterranean. The 7 inches single edge blade, typically engraved and mounted with black horn grips widening toward the pommel in a form of split ears. The bolster and grip strap are engraved brass. Wood scabbard covered with leather stitched in the spiral stitching common in the Ottoman Empire in the secong half of the 19 C. Total length in scabbard 12 inches. Excellent condition! , All parts original and in excellent shape. No replacements or restorations.
