We offer for sale this 19 C. very nice Ottoman / Balkan (probably Albanian) Jambiya dagger, with 10 1/2 inches blade finely decorated with gold koftgari work. Styled inscription in styled Arabic letters on one side and floral design on the other side. Long handle cut entirely from a single piece of walrus ivory with extended pommel and cross guard corners, attributed to Albania. Wood scabbard covered with the original leather and fitted with steel locket and chape with silver koftgari decoration. Total length 18 inches (in scabbard). Very good condition. impressive item.
