This is a very nice and good quality Parang sword / machete from Indonesia. The blade is 17 ½ inches long, heavy and single edged. It is forged from good laminated steel. The hilt is solid black horn. The scabbard is wood, with horn locket and chape and with a bone belt attachment bound to the scabbard with rattan bands. All in very good condition, very slightly pitted blade, an age crack in the hilt horn (But it is holding solid and fine) and few old and repaired cracks in the scabbard. A very good item at an attractive price.
