Very Good Pesh-Kabz Dagger, Persia / Central Asia - 9502


This dagger is a Pesh-Kabz , a member of the family of the Karud and a Khybar Knife, but with a re-curving blade. The whole family of such daggers is common to India, Persia and several Central Asian countries. This one is Persian or Central Asia, mid to late 19 C. The blade is 9 1/2 inches long, heavy, with a pronounced T spine. The grips are of elephant ivory, the grip strap and bolsters are steel. Total length 14 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard.
