This heavy short knife has a blade of 8 inches, filed spine and clipped tip. The blade is marked with deep marking on its left face. Steel bolsters. The handle is a massive piece of elephant ivory decorated with engraved circles painted red. Total length13 inches. Very good condition. Excellent age patina on the ivory suggesting an old age, probably mid 19 C. The Afghani attribution is derived from the style of similar decoration found on other Afghani articles.
