It is very seldom that you see such rare items on the market. This late 19 Century war club is called club sword and it is coming from the Massim people in Papua-New Guinea. The 20 inches long piece has a 14 inches blade. It is carved from an Ebony like hardwood, beautifully carved. See also: G.C. Stone, Glossary... The lime powder that was used to be inserted in the carving is now mostly gone.
