This long knife / short sword is of Burmese origin, late 19 C. Heavy single edge blade 12 inches long with down curving thick spine, 9 mm thick. Wood handle bound with braided rattan rings and mounted with chased brass mounts. Wood scabbard bound with thread and brass bands and brass locket and chape. Total length 200 inches. Simple but knife made for business. Very attractive price.
