This good shield is Indian, early to mid 19 C. 20 inches diameter, heavy steel finely chiseled with floral design and inscription in Arabic letters and decorated with gold koftgari inlay. The shield is set with four bosses with and mounted with a brass strip around the rim. Very good condition. Losses to the gold inlay. Hand cushion , handles and mounting rings are missing.
