Up for sale is this very fine Saif sword from Ethiopia, late 19 C. The blade is German made by CLAUBERG the Solingen sword maker, 30 inches long, marked with the maker name and stamp of a standing knight (now partially erased). Massive, two sectors rhino horn handle with dome shaped engraved brass pommel cover. Original scabbard covered with fabric mounted with finely pierced gilded silver chape and original fabric covered leather belt and buckle. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition.
