This fine Kard knife is Indian, early 19 C, whole steel construction, wholly forged (both blade and handle) from fine Wootz (Damascus) steel. Blade length 6 inches. Blade with strong T spine and decorated with gold koftgary decoration. Wootz steel handle also decorated with gold koftgary work, with bolsters and pommel cap decorated with silver koftgari work. Total length 11 inches. Very good condition. Minor losses to the gold and silver inlay. No scabbard.
