The Moplah is the sword of the Coorg people from the Malabar coast of south west India is a very rare item. The 14 inches long and almost 4 inches wide blade is slightly curved and with a flat central rib, with beautifully engraved brass bolsters. The handle is wood with brass inserts. Total length 22 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Good age patina on the blade. Minor forging flaws. Missing brass inserts on the handle.
