The Pulwar’ is the Afghan relative of the Indian Tulwar. The Pulwar hilt has a very distinct shape, with down curving quillons. The one offered here for sale is a very good heavy fighting sword, with well forged heavy steel blade, 30 inches long, well fullered with a raised 9 inches back edge (Yelmen). The steel handle is of typical pulwar shape, whole steel and beautifully chiseled all over. Pierced hemisphere shaped pommel. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition.
