From the Qajar period, Iran, end of the 19 C. Comes this spear head decorated in a classical Qajar style. 12 inches blade, finely etched with human figures with snakes and fishes on a floral background. The base of the spear blade is decorated with gold and silver koftgari inlay work. The 9 inches socket is etched in a pattern to imitate Damascus steel. Total length 21 1/2 inches. Very good condition.
