This Billao dagger is late 19 Century and comes from the coastal people of Somalia. It has a classical non-symmetrical leaf shape blade, 8 1/2 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide. The handle is made of two horn sectors separated by layers of copper . The pommel is of a typical three pronged shape made of steel. Hide scabbard. Very good condition.
