This very rare form of Klewang is from the Molukas islands in Indonesia. It is characterized by the short heavy blade widening to its maximum width near the tip and the down curving handle. This one has a heavy 22 inches blade, widening to 3 1/2 inches. Clipped tip. Wood handle bound with rattan fibers. Total length 31 inches. Very good condition. losses to the rattan binding on the handle. A very rare sword.
