This big double blade ceremonial axe is from the late Persian Qajar period, second half of the 19 C. The blades, 10 X 5 inches each are beautifully chiseled in the period style in a floral design. The axe top is ending with a spear head shaped blade. The haft is steel ending with a leather covered handle. Total length 34 inches. Very good condition. A very impressive axe.
