This very good sword is from the family of the Prang and it is coming most probably from Java, Indonesia. It employs a European military blade which was reshaped to fit the size and scabbard common to such swords. Blade length 25 1/2 inches. Carved horn handle with a finely chased silver collar. Wood scabbard bound with braided rattan bands. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition witgh good age patina on the blade.
