This heavy sword is an 18 C. or earlier sword, Tegha style, with heavy thick blade, 31 1/2 inches long, 2 inches wide and 9 mm thick and with a 10 1/2 inches raised back edge. The blade is marked with the gold inlaid umbrella shape mark of the Mogul royal armory. Whole steel handle of the early type with a small pommel disk and a D guard ending with a crocodile (??) head tip. Total length 37 inches. Very good condition. The edge was sharpened (very professionally) to remove some battle scars. A very impressive sword.
