Up for sale is this fine dah sword, 19 C., probably Burmese. The heavy blade is 24 inches long, finely inlaid with silver and copper. The handle is bound with twisted brass and copper wires and mounted with big copper mounts, beautifully inlaid with brass (?) decorative pattern. The pommel disk is an old britis (??) coin dated 1835. The wood scabbard is bound with natural fibers (Elephant tail hair ??). Total length 31 inches. Very good condition. Some losses to the scabbard binding and the scabbard tip.
