Very Fine Early Georgian Qama Short Sword - 8852
Up for sale is this very fine Qama, more of a short sword than a dagger. The 18 1/5 inches long and 2 inches wide blade, of classical offset fullers is marked by the maker on one face and richly inlaid with gold and silver koftgari work on the other face. Horn handle with silver inlaid rivet heads and covers. Original scabbard with original black leather cover. This Qama comes with its original short knife in a compartment on the back of the scabbard (very rare). Total length 25 1/2 inches. Excellent condition. A fine and very impressive sword. |
