This Indian matchlock rifle is one of the better seen recently on the market. A heavy long 44 inches barrel, made from twisted pattern welded (Damascus) steel, probably of Turkish origin. Dark hardwood stock with nielloed silver decoration and an ivory – silver decorated butt. Chiseled trigger. Total length 63 inches. Very good condition, few cracks in the stock wood and a small damage to the ivory butt. Altogether a great piece.
