Probably of Visayan origin, this sword is. Has a heavy, beveled edge, 19 inches blade, forged from old rasp. Finely carved handle with round wood cross guard and brass collar. Wood scabbard bound with brass bands and a lizard shape belt attachment. 25 inches total length. Very good condition. Excellent age patina on the wooden parts. Late 19 to early 20 C authentic item from the Philippines.
