This old dagger, probably late 19 or early 20 C. is in the style of the Jian, the famous Chinese straight sword. The blade is heavy, 11 inches long, with a diamond cross section. The handle is brass with the grip elegantly made from faceted brass. The scabbard is covere with lacquered leather (??) and set with brass fittings decorated in the same style as the handle. Total length 17 inches. Very good condition. Cross guard very lightly loose.
