This Ram-Dao is a sacrificial sword from Nepal. It is meant to behead the sacrificed animal in one sword blow, and this is exactly how the blade is designed: Heavy 21 inches long, down curving blade with a massive handle. The blade is engraved and decorated with inlaid brass decoration just below the spine and on the back. The famous guarding eye is engraved and set with brass at the blade tip. The grip is turned wood fitted with heavy brass mount and a brass pommel. Total length 25 inches. Very good condition.
