Early 20 C. Hungarian Saber / Presentation Sword - 8682
This saber is probably of Hungarian origin, early 20 C. 1910 or about. The blade is curved, single edged, 31 inches long, etched with floral pattern and Arabic letters (To give the sword an oriental flavor). Handle and scabbard fittings are white metal deeply chased and set with turquoise stones. A small engraved plaque in the rear side of the cross guard. Scabbard cover is velvet. Total length 37 inches. Very good condition. All parts original, no repairs or replacements. A very decorative sword. |
