Up for sale is this Chinese double mace, composed of two heavy maces in a leather scabbard. The maces "blades" are steel of hexagonal cross section, 20 1/2 inches long. The handles are bronze with the mouth shaped like a dragon head and the pommel is a ribbed knob. Total length 29 inches. Very good condition to age. Several pitted spots on the blades. A small breakage to the mouth of one of the Dragon heads. Losses to the leather of the scabbard and damaged tip. A rare set, early to mid 19 C.
