This dagger is early 20 C. coming from the northern regions of Iraq, populated by Kurdish people. It show a mixed Turkish / Iraqi influence. The blade is curved, double edged with a central rib and 9 inches long. The handle I I shaped, cur from water buffalo horn with dark brown color. The scabbard is silver (low grade) chased in Iraqi style and decorated with two lines of small Turquoise stones. Total length 16. inches. Very good condition. Minor pitted spot on the blade. One Turquoise stone is missing. Few small dents on the silver.
