Up for sale is this rare Kindjal dagger, of Turkish origin. The 15 1/2 inches blade is forged from pattern welded twisted steel (Damascus), forge welded between high carbon steel edges. The grips are horn. The wood scabbard is covered with red fabric and mounted with steel locket and chape with silver koftgari decoration in the Syrian / Turkish style. Total length 23 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Only few Kindjal daggers are found with this forging structure and pattern. A simply looking but a rare find.
