This is a tanto of the Meiji period. The blade is 6 ½ inches long with 3 ½ inches false edge. Lacquered wood grip and scabbard and brass fittings. Good condition, minor areas of blade discoloration and minor losses to the lacquer near its edges (painted black by the knife previous owner).
