Persian Quadara (Qama) Sword - 8368
This sword is of Persian origin and it is also known as Quadara. A similar sword is found in central Asian countries and in the Caucasus but sometimes called Qama. This specimen has a heavy 24 ½ inches long slightly up=curving and single edge blades with a 7 inches false edge. The blade is fullered, marked with a six point star maker mark and inlaid with koftgari gold work. The grips are black Buffalo horn mounted with three rivets over old Persian coins. Total length 31 ½ inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. |
