Fine Dah / Dha Sword with Silver Inlaid blade and Ivory Handle - 8324

This fine Dah sword is most probably of Burmese origin, late 19 C. The blade, 26 inches long, is heavily inlaid with silver images and inscriptions on both sides and on the heavy spine. The handle is ivory with silver collar and pommel. The scabbard is wood bound with white metal bands. Total length 26 inches. Good condition. The handle was cracked and re-glued with minor repairs. The handle fittings are lightly dented. A fine piece at a very reasonable price. |
