Two Very Good Old Hunting Spear, Tanzania, Africa - 8307


This hunting spears comes from Tanzania and it is common to the Konde and Ngoni people of South East Africa. . These are a very good example, circa 1900 with very long blades and far better in quality and workmanship than common to African spears. The blades are 17 and 18½ inches long, tang mounted on a 31 inches narrow wood hafts, bound with steel strips on the top securing the tang in place and with steel / brass strip at the bottom. Total length (of both) 49 inches. Very good condition. An authentic spears with unusual long blades and very finely made.
