Up for sale is this very fine Yataghan sword / knife. 12 inches blade with silver inlay marking. Well patinated ivory grips with steel bolsters and grip strap covered with thin silver foil and decorated with niello work. Very fine whole silver scabbard finely decorated with black niello decoration dated 1806 on the rear top side and with gilded silver locket and chape. A long silver chain ending with a small decorative silver folding knife is attached to the locket. Total length 19 ½ inches. Very good condition. A minor chip on the right grip. Some minor losses to the silvered starp and bolsters. A very fine piece.
