Up for sale is this very fine and elegant dagger from Tibet. A stiletto style acute heavy blade, 11 ½ inches long, forged from laminated steel folded at the tip in the pattern known as Hairpin. Grip covered with rye skin. Beautifully pierced and chased brass pommel. Brass scabbard. Total length 15 ½ inches. Very good condition with minor pitted spots on the blade tip. Cracks and repairs on the skin cover of the grip. Minor dents on the brass scabbard. This is a real and authentic late 19 C. piece, NOT one of the many tourist souvenirs daggers from Tibet recently flooding the market.
