Up for sale is this very heavy, whole brass dagger. Similar daggers with steel blades were common in South India from early times, as early as the 16 C. This one is probably a later one, 19 C. or a bit later. The re-curving blade is 8 inches long. The handle is cast in the shape of a winged monster with the reverse curving pommel shaped like its head. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition. This is an old piece - NOT a newly made copy.
