A fine Kattar push dagger with unusual wavy blade and an armor piercing tip. The blade is 8 ½ inches long. Forged from fine wootz (Damascus) steel and deeply chiseled at its center. Velvet covered scabbard (new) with pierced silver tip. Total length 15 inches. Good condition. Very shallow pitted spots on the blade and some scratches on the handle from an old attempt to clean it. Soldered repairs on the cross bars of the handle. A very interesting dagger, probably early 19 C., North India.
