Very Fine and Complete 19 C. Indian Parade Armor - 8059


A fine and complete parade armor from North India, second half of the 19 C., including mail shirt and trousers, breast armor plates, arms shields (Bazu Band) shield and helmet. All of very high quality and workmanship. The mail shirt and trousers are made of colored rings arranged in a geometric pattern (slightly different on the shirt and on the trousers). The breast plates as well as the hand guards and shield are heavily decorated with gold koftgari work and cushioned with red fabric on the inner side. All in perfect condition. A rare set of armor and of fine quality. (Mannikin not included)
