Up for sale is this fine Bolo knife, Philippines, probably late 19 C. Short heavy blade. 14 inches long and 3/16 inches thick at its base. The blade is engraved on both sidea and ilaid with brass decoration on the right side. Brass bolster. Finely carved black horn handle with silver nails and traces of twisted silver wire which probably was inlaid in one of the handle grooves. Brass pommel cap. Total length 19 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. A fine piece.
