Very Fine Silver mounted Dah Sword - Burma (??) - 7932

The decoration on this dah sword is really outstanding in design and quality. The blade, 24 ½ inches long, is heavily inlaid with silver images and inscriptions on both sides and on the heavy spine. The handle is silver with black enamel decoration of the pommel and the collar, and the grip is bound with twisted silver wire. The scabbard is wood with plain silver cover on its entire length. The scabbard comes with a yellow baldric carrying rope (recent). Very good condition. Fine untouched shining age patina on all the silver parts (except the restored scabbard tip). A repair on the ball shape pommel and restored scabbard tip. A fine piece.
