Up for sale is this early Ottoman Jambiya dagger, dated to 1112 ( 1700 in the Gregorian calendar). The blade is 9 inches long, with two central fullers, decorated with gold koftgary work and dated as above. The silver handle and scabbard are thickly covered with corals and turquoise stones on the front face. There are more than 110 corals and more than 40 turquoise stones on this dagger. Total length 15 inches. Good condition. Damage to the pommel corner. The scabbard tip is repaired. Several stones are missing. A good piece, bigger and older than similar daggers seen on the market.
