One of the swords made for the Ethiopian army, with a European made blade, marked ith a maker crown mark. This sword type is known as Gurade ( Saber). Blade length 32 inches, etched in beautiful floral design. Handle is carved from a massive piece of honey colored, translucent rhino horn and with a beautiful silver pommel cap. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. A fine sword.
