Up for sale is this early Yataghan dated to 1194 (1780 in the Gregorian calendar). The blade is straight, 20 inches long, forged from fine laminated steel with heat hardened edge. The blade is signed and dated with true silver inlay. The grips are elephant ivory on thin layer of black horn, riveted to the tang with brass rivets and black horn rondels. The silver grip strap and bolsters are decorated with Niello design (left bolster restored). Total length 25 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard.
