Fine Big 18 C. Khanjarli Dagger - 7443


The Khanjarli, one of the rarest and most sought after dagger in the Indian weaponry. It is characterized by its strongly re-curving blade and wide lunette shaped pommel. This one is a fine example, with unusual big dimensions, with heavy 9 inches long, 2 ½ inches wide multi-fullered blade, most probably forged from laminated steel. The huge lunette shaped pommel is 5 ½ inches wide, made of Ivory, and so are the grips. Total length 14 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard Very minor chips on the ivory handle. A small patch of pitting on the blade. A very fine piece.
