A really unusual piece. This is an Old Karud dagger, probably of Indian origin and an early example, 18 C. or earlier. Narrow but heavy blade with acute tip and reinforced edge, 14 inches long. Whole steel handle of ribbed cylindrical form with nicely decorated pommel. Total length 18 inches.. Very well balanced piece, meant for business. Very good condition, nice age patina all over.
