This is a beautiful late 18 or early 19 C. Khanda Sword and one of quality. The straight heavy blade forged from fine Indian wootz steel (Crystalline Damascus) is more than 30 inches long, double edge and reinforced on both edges with long decorative steel bars. The handle is basket shaped, whole steel construction with a four inches long back spike. The grip and inner basket side are padded with red fabric (later). Total length 39 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard.
